Spanish bonds have declined quite sharply since the past several days and the previous session was no exception either, as spread between the 10-year Spanish yields relative to benchmark German bunds widened the most since the Euro was created. The yield spread against 10-year German bunds widened to more than 500 basis points, a record high, as concerns grew that Spain lenders will need additional financial support to weather Europe debt crisis. Meanwhile, global risk aversion is pushing the German bunds to a record low, which in turn is adding more pressure on the yield spread to widen.
As long as the ongoing banking concerns in Spain persists, Spanish government securities are likely to continue weakening further while demand for the safest assets such as German bunds would pick up. This in turn could lead to further increase in spread between the securities of Euro zone largest and 4th largest economy.
The below graph shows the spread of Spanish 10-year bond over German bund for the last 3 months

Goldman Sachs announced on Tuesday that it has lifted its rating on Comerica Incorporated (CMA) to “Neutral.”
The firm has upgraded CMA from “Sell” to “Neutral,” and has raised the company’s price target from $38 to $42. This price target suggests a 2% upside from the stock’s current price of $40.83.
An analyst from the firm noted: “The market has shown willingness to price the shares at a premium based on CMA absolute rate upside, which we do not expect to change much over time.”
“That said, near-term expectations could be at risk given the ~4% decline in loans in 3Q, which if it continues could weigh on its longer-term earnings profile,” the analyst added.
Looking ahead, the firm has lowered its FY2013 earnings estimates from $2.85 to $2.81 per share. FY2014 estimates have been reduced from $2.95 to $2.90 per share and FY2015 estimates of $3.30 per share were maintained.
Comerica shares were mostly flat during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is up 35% YTD.

Shares of Express (EXPR) have been going at fire-sale prices today after the company missed earnings forecasts.
Agence France-Presse/Getty ImagesExpress reported a profit of 57 cents a share, at the bottom end of its forecast and below analyst estimates for 59 cents. It also lowered its full-year guidance to a range of $1.03 to $1.23, below forecasts for $1.58.
Stifel’s Richard Jaffe and team cut their rating on Express to Hold from Buy. They explain why:
Previously we believed [Express's] weakness was driven solely by external pressures (severe weather, weak traffic and a promotional environment). However, we now believe part of[Express's] weakness is self-inflicted merchandise misses, which will take time to correct. Given this and our cautious outlook for the company, we are downgrading the shares to Hold…
Severe weather, weak traffic trends and a highly promotional retail environment have continued into 1Q, likely putting pressure on earnings and share prices for many companies in our sector. Retailers that have not yet reported 4Q earnings and therefore have not yet commented on 1Q trends are at risk, in our view. Given the exceptionally promotional and price competitive environment, we believe that estimates for some companies ([Aeropostale (ARO), Ann (ANN), Gordmans Stores (GMAN) and Tilly's (TLYS)]) do not reflect the pricing pressure likely in 1Q.
Shares of Express have plunged 13% to $15.96 at 3:51 p.m., while Aeropostale has gained 1.5% to $7.26, Ann has dropped 3.3% to $34.90, Gordmans Stores has risen 0.5% to $6.34 and Tilly’s have fallen 2.5% to $11.35.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Brian Pacampara]
What: Shares of gaming machine manufacturer Multimedia Games (NASDAQ: MGAM ) surged 19% today after its quarterly results and guidance easily topped Wall Street expectations.
- [By James Brumley]
The 17% pullback over the first quarter of the year had less to do with the company’s portfolio and more to do with the market’s mood, and now that the broad market is easing up, the market’s mood regarding Hercules Technology Growth Capital looks poised to improve.
Multimedia Games (MGAM)With the stock down more than 13% since early March, it would be easy to assume Multimedia Games Holding Company (MGAM) was headed for a nasty earnings report at the end of April. The market was wrong, however. MGAM posted a 25% increase in revenue for the quarter, and a 28% improvement in earnings … and that was before the acquisition of PokerTek (PTEK). Bringing PokertTek into the fold will almost assure a fourth straight year of revenue and income growth.
